Universal Children’s Day at the BA

The BA Children’s and Young People’s Libraries, in cooperation with Rotary Montaza, organize a Sports Day on Monday, 29 November 2010 celebrating the Universal Children’s Day.
The Sports Day includes several activities for the students of the participating schools, such as a marathon and football freestyle. Such activities aim to develop children’s communication and teamwork skills.
Universal Children's Day takes place annually on 20 November. First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954, the Universal Children’s Day encourages all countries to institute a day to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children, and to initiate action to support the welfare of the world's children.
