The Mock Doctor in a Play Reading

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in French on Wednesday, 2 March 2011. Participants will read The Mock Doctor by Molière.
Beaten by her husband, Sganarelle, Martine wants to take revenge from him. She gets in touch with two servants looking for a doctor for Lucinde, the daughter of their master. She convinces them that her husband is a clever doctor who does not want to reveal the secret. The two servants grasp Sganarelle to their master’s house where he realizes that Lucinde is ill because her father wants to marry her to a man she doesn’t love. What would the “mock doctor” do to bring back the lovers ?
The session starts at 13:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
