“What You Do Not Know about Hurricanes and Climate Change” Lecture

Within the framework of its Simplified Science Program, the BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) and TWAS-ARO are organizing a lecture entitled “What You Do Not Know about Hurricanes and Climate Change”. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Hesham M. El-Askary, Professor of Remote Sensing and Earth System Science at the Center of Excellence in Earth Systems Modeling and Observations and Director of the Graduate Programs in Computational and Data Sciences at Schmid College of Science and Technology, on Saturday, 7 October 2017; 12:00 noon–2:00 pm, at the BA Conference Center (BACC) Lecture Hall.
In this lecture, Professor El-Askary will attempt to explain what a hurricane is, how it forms, and whether countries in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) will ever be affected by one.
The Simplified Science Program is a series of scientific lectures that aim to introduce peaking and newly emerging fields of science to the public audience in a simple manner.
