Dr. Mostafa el Feki Welcomes Ambassador of Georgia at the BA

Dr. Mostafa el Feki, Director of the BA, welcomed Alexander Nalbandov, Ambassador of Georgia to Egypt, on Wednesday, 20 June 2018, as the latter donated a collection of valuable books to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Dr. Mostafa el Feki welcomed Ambassador Alexander Nalbandov's visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and expressed his happiness with the donated books and his hope for further cultural cooperation between Egypt and Georgia.
Ambassador Alexander Nalbandov expressed his great pleasure at visiting the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and presenting this valuable gift. He pointed out that the books include the most important works of Georgian and Arabic literature, including the book The Knight in the Panther's Skin, which was published by the Georgian Embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, in addition to several Arabic translated books, including the novel I Saw Ramallah by Mourid Barghouti, The Prophet by Gibran Khalil Gibran, Men in the Sun by Ghassan Kanafani, and The Bleeding of the Stone by Ibrahim al-Koni.
The collection also includes books on Georgian history, architecture and culture, including Davit Gareji Monasteries, The Georgian Monasteries and Monastic Community in the Joly Land in the 11th-18th Centuries, and Georgia: History, Politics, Culture.
