The BA, in collaboration with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, launched a joint postdoctoral research grant program, which offers 50 grants for Egyptians and Africans under 45 years old for three years (two terms).

Dr. Mostafa el Feki, Director of the BA, welcomed the partnership with the Academy and stressed the importance of this initiative, which is in line with the BA’s role in supporting scientific research in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. He added that this program confirms Egypt’s pioneering role in supporting Africa and developing its capabilities, especially those related to youths and scientific research.

The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) is in charge of organizing and executing this program, while the Academy will handle its funding. Priority will be given to supporting innovative research that provides solutions to the problems and challenges facing society in the fields of food, agriculture, medicine, environment and engineering. The program will also include the organization of a number of workshops and courses to develop the skills of researchers at numerous levels.
