The BA mourns BoT member Wim Kok

The Library of Alexandria mourns our BoT staff member, the Dutch former Prime Minister Wim Kok, who passed away last Saturday at the age of 80 after a heart failure. Mr. Kok served as the Prime Minister of Netherlands from 1994 until 2002. He was widely respected for his consensus-building leadership style, and his Labor party praised Kok as someone who “stood above political parties".
Kok served on the Board of Trustees of the Library of Alexandria since 2015. His vision and knowledge were an asset to the deliberations of the board and to the advancement of the BA.
Mr. Kok will be always remembered by the Library of Alexandria as a genuine personality, an insightful leader and a man of wisdom.
Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
