Orphan’s Day at the BA

On the occasion of the Orphan’s Day, the BA Children’s and Young People’s Libraries, in cooperation with Resala Association and McDonald’s, holds a celebration of the Orphan’s Day in Antoniadis Gardens on Monday, 9 April 2012, with the participation of 300 kids from different orphanages. The event will feature different sports activities, puppet show and performances.
The BA Visits and Conferences Department holds on Tuesday, 10 April 2012, special guided tours including presentation on the Library of Alexandria and a visit to the Reading Area and some of the BA museums and exhibitions. The special tours also include a visit to the Culturama for a show on the history of Egypt across the ages, and a show on the Late President Sadat.
The BA Calligraphy Center also celebrates the Orphan’s Day on Monday, 16 April, in cooperation with El-Orman Orphanage. The celebration includes a concert by El-Nour w El-Amal Choir, in addition to calligraphy and hieroglyphics workshops for children. The Calligraphy Center had also invited a group of orphan children on Saturday, 7 April.
