The BA Celebrates World Arabic Language Day

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina celebrates the World Arabic Language Day on Wednesday, 19 December 2018. The celebration is titled “Arabic in the eyes of the West”, and includes three sessions and a poetry seminar. The three sessions tackle linguistic Orientalism, learning Arabic as a second language as well as the aesthetics and characteristics of Arabic.
A host of university professors will participate in the event. They include Professor Abdel Hamid Madkour, Dr. Ahmed Darwish, Dr. Mahmoud Mahmoud Nakhla, Dr. Mahmoud Soliman Yaqout, Dr. Eid Balbaa, Dr. Abdullah Sorour and Dr. Jean Druel.
