A Free Course for Arabic and Islamic Culture at Princess Khadija Palace in Helwan

Under the auspices of Cairo Governorate and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and as part of the latter’s effort in combatting extremism and terrorism, the Arabic and Islamic Culture Course is launched for the first time at Princess Khadija Palace in Helwan, starting from Sunday, 3 March 2019.
Dr. Ossama Al-Azhari, the Presidential Adviser for Religious Affairs, and other prominent intellectuals and thinkers are taking part in a series of lectures that focus on several topics such as Islamic history, Arabic scientific heritage, Jewish and Coptic heritage, the aesthetics of Arabic writing and scripts, Islamic arts and architecture, minorities in the Islamic civilization, among others.
Participants will be granted a large number of books as well as certificates accredited by the BA and Misr Public Library at the end of the course, provided that they attend no less than 75% of all lectures.
The course targets young people from the age of 16 to 45, with maximum 60 candidates, and runs for two consecutive weeks, with 22 lectures (2 lectures per day).
