Closing of BioVisionAlexandria 2012

The BA witnessed on Wednesday, 25 April 2012, the Closing of the Sixth International Biennial Conference, BioVisionAlexandria (BVA) 2012, held from 22 to 25 April 2012 under the title "New Life Sciences: Linking Science to Society”.
BVA 2012 included 28 different sessions with 2050 participants from 30 countries, 84% are students and recent graduates, and 63% are women.
One hundred and fifteen eminent speakers also participated in the Conference, including 4 Nobel Laureates.
BVA sessions tackled several topics including fostering science in the Middle East, the New Life Sciences, food security, the role of science in society, biotechnology, and biorobotics.
The Closing Session presented an overview of the most important topics highlighted in the fields of health, agriculture and food, and environment.
