President Sisi Meets with the BA Board of Trustees

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the BA Board of Trustees on Saturday, 6 April 2019. Several prominent international figures, and a number of former ministers, together with leading Egyptian and foreign intellectuals and scholars serve on the BA Board of Trustees. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Education, and Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture.
President Sisi was keen to listen to the ideas and visions of the BA Director and BoT members on means of promoting and consolidating the role of the BA, taking into consideration the emerging spread of technology in an age that witnesses a fourth industrial revolution.
Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, highlighted the BA achievements during the year 2018 – 2019 and expressed his appreciation to President Sisi for supporting the BA and for his annual meetings at the Library, as he emphasized its important role in fostering culture and knowledge.
