The BA Board of Trustees' Second Day Meetings

As part of the BA Board of Trustees’ meeting, chaired by Dr. Farouk Al-Okdah, Head of the Executive Committee of the BoT, Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, asserted that, since his appointment, he had been determined on continuing the role of his predecessor, Dr. Ismail Serageldin. He focused on reforming the financial and administrative system, especially the salary structure for employees with minimum wages.
The BoT meetings started on Saturday, and were chaired by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi at Al-Ittihadiya Palace. The second day meeting in Alexandria began with a one-minute silence in honor of Dr. Ahmed Kamal Abou El-Magd, who was a BoT Member for many years. Dr. Elfeki described Dr. Ahmed Kamal Abou El-Magd as a constitutional lawyer and politician who presented an enlightened understanding of Islam. Dr. Elfeki also noted that the BA is concerned with disseminating the values of tolerance, fighting terrorism, fostering knowledge and documenting the memory of our nation.
The meeting was attended by several international figures including former Presidents of countries such as Ecuador, Romania and Albania, in addition to prominent figures in the field of science, such as Dr. Magdy Yacoub and Dr. Farouk El-Baz, and public figures such as Dr. Nadia Makram Obeid, Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour and Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu.
