The BA Organizes a Seminar and Exhibition on the Journey of Numismatics in Egypt

The BA Writing and Scripts Center, in collaboration with the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo, the Educational Museum of Antiquities at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, and the BA Museums of Antiquities and Manuscripts, organizes an exhibition entitled “The Journey of Numismatics in Egypt”, from 19 to 24 January 2020, in the BACC East Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition includes 14 sections that trace numismatics throughout the different periods of Egyptian history. A seminar titled “The History of Numismatics” will be organized on Sunday, 19 January 2020, at 12:00 pm. It will be delivered by Engineer Magdy Hanafy, Egyptian Numismatics Expert, Dr. Hussein Abdel Aziz, Professor of Greco-Roman Archaeology at Alexandria University, Dr. Naglaa Ezzat, Professor of Greco-Roman Archaeology at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Mohamed Hamdy, Researcher at the BA Writing and Scripts Center.
On Tuesday, 21 January 2020, the BA Antiquities Museum will organize a workshop on the latest techniques in the documentation of numismatics, such as the Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI). The workshop targets museum specialists, heritage specialists, conservators, and postgraduate researchers.
