“The World of Archaeology” Workshop at the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Antiquities Museum, affiliated to the Cultural Outreach Sector– in collaboration with the Taha Hussein Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired – organizes a mid-year-vacation workshop for blind and visually impaired children entitled “The World of Archaeology” on 28 January and 4 February 2020, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Antiquities Museum.
The Workshop is divided into:
- Coloring a selection of simple images of archaeological pieces, and introducing them to participants.
- Introducing the participants to the costumes that ancient Egyptians and Greeks used to wear through touching the fabric.
- Molding clay figures for some archaeological pieces in the Museum.
The activity includes the screening of the film Mummification, with special audio subtitles for the blind.
