The BA Organizes a Seminar Titled “Egyptian Frogmen: The Heroes of the Eilat and Drill Operations”

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, inaugurated a seminar titled “Egyptian Frogmen: The Heroes of the Eilat and Drill Operations” on Wednesday, 25 August 2021, coinciding with the publication of a book that chronicles the events of both operations.
The seminar witnessed the participation of the heroes of the two operations: Captain Omar Ezz Eldine, Captain Nabil Abdel Wahab, and Captain Mahmoud Saad, together with Mr. Yehia Shalash, the author of the book Egyptian Frogmen: The Heroes of the Eilat and Drill Operations. A delegation of the commanders of the naval forces was also in attendance, led by General Ashraf El-Sherif, representative of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Commander of the Egyptian Navy.
Dr. Elfeki saluted the heroes of the naval forces, and stressed the importance of the Egyptian navy throughout the country’s military history, highlighting its role as one of the most powerful shields of the nation inside and outside the military forces.
At the end of the seminar, the BA honored several military heroes and commanders of the naval forces.
