The BA Signs a Cooperation Protocol with the New Administrative Capital’s Arts and Culture City

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina signed a protocol of cooperation with the New Administrative Capital’s City of Arts and Culture.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; Presidential Adviser General Mohammed El-Amin; General Mohammed Sherif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Machinery of Administration and Investment; General Mohammed El-Saadany, Director of the City of Arts and Culture; Dr. Zain Abdel Hady, Director of the Administrative Capital’s Library; together with the BA Heads of Sectors.

The BA will provide an electronic copy of the Description De l’Egypte in its latest edition, while specifying the devices that are compatible with it.

Moreover, both parties are expected to cooperate in the field of publishing and distribution, and in the organization of cultural and artistic events, including joint book fairs, the hosting of international authors and writers, and the staging of art exhibitions.

This mutual cooperation also encompasses library sciences, most notably the conservation and restoration of manuscripts, rare books, photographs, films, and old records.

The Administrative Capital’s Library will invite the BA to participate in its annual digital cultural season, which will be broadcast on television and online in different languages.
