The BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program organizes the African League of Young Masters’ tenth annual graduation ceremony on Wednesday, 21 September 2022, at 12:00 pm, in the BACC Great Hall.
The ceremony will be inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, where more than seven hundred African students will graduate from various Egyptian universities. These students represent Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Malawi, Comoros, Somalia, Djibouti and Egypt. The event will also witness the attendance of representatives of ministries, presidents of different Egyptian universities, ambassadors and public figures.
The BA is keen to adopt African students studying in Egypt, and aims to harness all its resources to support and build their capacities, in order to emphasize Egypt's leading role on the African continent. Moreover, the library seeks to create a scientific and cultural platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between these young people and their Egyptian peers.
It is worth mentioning that the BA has adopted these young people through a range of specialized programs, most notably the "African Young Masters" programs (established in 2011), which are geared towards African students studying at the universities of Alexandria, Cairo and Ain Shams. These programs aim to strengthen Egyptian-African relations, and open channels of communication between African students and their Egyptian colleagues to help develop their scientific and knowledge skills and consolidate future relations among them.
