Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, Chairman of the Gulf Research Center, signed this morning a cooperation agreement between the two entities.

Dr. Zayed said that the Library, by virtue of its objectives and vision, creates multiple channels for cooperation and work with research and cultural centers and universities around the world, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the closest country to Egypt and the relationship between them is strategic and strong.

He also pointed out that there are two major changes in the Arab world, the first is the magnitude of the challenges that exist in Arab societies, and the second is the increasing establishment of research facilities in the Arab world, which sometimes take a governmental nature but are often private.

For his part, Dr. Abdulaziz Sager stated that the Gulf Research Center was established in 2000 and that its goal was to create interest in the Arab region, the Gulf States and the rest of the world in several domains, most notably the political, economic, security, defense, social, cultural and media domains.
