“Al-Andalus: Narrative and History” at the BA Book Fair

A seminar entitled "Al-Andalus: Narrative and History" was delivered by Dr. Mohamed El-Gamal, Director of the BA Center for Islamic Civilization Studies, and Ms. Nawal Moustafa, journalist at Al-Akhbar newspaper, as part of the cultural activities of the BA International Book Fair.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Gamal explained the history of Al-Andalus from the Muslim conquest until the fall of Granada, and highlighted the cultural and architectural heritage of the Islamic civilization in Andalusian cities.
For her part, Ms. Nawal Moustafa discussed her trips to Andalusian cities in Spain and their impact on her novel A Kind of Love that depicts a love story between an Egyptian and a Spaniard.
