The Opening of “First Time #30” Exhibition

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina inaugurated yesterday the 18th round of its “First Time #30” Exhibition, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, and a group of artists and intellectuals.
Gamal Hosny, Director of the BA Art Exhibitions and Collections Department, said that the exhibition was first launched in 2006, and that 322 artists from different Egyptian governorates have participated in this annual event since its inception. He added that this year's exhibition witnesses the participation of 15 artists from the governorates of Alexandria, Cairo, Gharbia, Dakahlia, Minya, and the Red Sea.
In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Zayed mentioned the importance of art in forming the conscience of humanity and enhancing the taste of beauty.
The exhibition runs until Wednesday, 21 August 2024; daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Fridays are off.
