“Nile Folklore - The Nile in Popular Consciousness” in a Seminar at the BA

The BA Sinnari House in Cairo, in collaboration with “Cairo Biography” initiative, is organizing a seminar entitled "Nile Folklore - The Nile in Popular Consciousness" on the flooding of the Nile anniversary, on Sunday, 17 August 2025, at 7:00 pm.

The seminar will be presented by Dr. Hisham Abdel Aziz, a researcher in folk heritage, and moderated by Mr. Abdel Azim Fahmy, researcher and founder of the “Cairo Biography” initiative, which seeks to document and raise awareness of the city's heritage through various media.

The seminar will discuss topics from the book The Nile Folklore, which touches on customs, beliefs, and crafts associated with the Nile River in Egypt, as well as folk songs and proverbs found in heritage blogs.
