The BA Women Studies and Social Transformation Program, in collaboration with the National Council for Women and in coordination with Ms. Safaa Tawfik, Council Member (Alexandria branch), is organizing a seminar and workshop entitled "Life in Motion: Your Steps Towards Renewed Physical and Mental Health" on Sunday, 26 October 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Library’s Conference Center.
The seminar will be delivered by Dr. Doaa Shaker, Consultant and Head of the Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, and Natural Medicine Department at Alexandria University Hospitals; and Dr. Nesrine Ali, Consultant Neurologist and Psychiatrist.
The seminar will address the physical changes that women experience in their golden years and their impact on the motor system and daily life. It will also discuss the scientific and medical methods that help women overcome these changes and maintain their vitality and mobility at this stage of life.
The workshop will be held on Monday, 27 October 2025, and will be presented by Ms. Mona Zakaria, an art and movement therapist, under the title “From Pain to Hope.” It aims to enhance communication between the body and mind through conscious artistic movement and encourage participants to restore positive energy and mental and physical balance through interactive practical activities.
