The BA Organizes a Seminar Entitled “The Future of Youth Studies in Egypt and the Arab Region: An In-Depth Look”

The BA Center for Strategic Studies and the Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program are organizing a seminar entitled "The Future of Youth Studies in Egypt and the Arab Region: An In-Depth Look" on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at 11:00 am, in the BACC Delegates Hall.
The seminar is a continuation of the preparatory workshop held at the BA on the future of youth in Egypt and the Arab region, mechanisms for developing youth research, and the importance of involving youth as actors in the development process. A group of leading experts, academics, and specialists in the field of youth studies will participate in the seminar to discuss three main themes: “The Reality and Prospects of Developing Theoretical and Methodological Frameworks for Youth Studies in Egypt and the Arab Region”; “From Youth Studies to Public Policy: Towards an Evidence-Based Arab Research Agenda”; and “Leading Arab Experiences in the Field of Youth Studies.”
The seminar aims to deepen the scientific debate on the future of youth studies in Egypt and the Arab region, explore the possibilities of developing a new evidence-based Arab research agenda that reflects the specificities of local and regional contexts, and examine the mechanisms for transforming the results of studies into practical tools that support decision-making in the Arab region. Furthermore, it seeks to exchange best practices and experiences in engaging youth as key actors, thereby enriching scientific dialogue and contributing to the development of integrated outputs that serve researchers and policymakers.
The BA invites young researchers and those interested in youth issues, as well as representatives of academic institutions and civil society organizations, to attend the seminar and take part in the discussions, in support of integrating research efforts and expanding the horizons of knowledge cooperation in this vital field.
