The BA Children's and Young People’s Libraries organized the seventh Children’s Day celebration, whose theme was “Adventures of Learning.” The event focused on raising children's awareness of their rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, emphasizing the importance of children's right to education as a fundamental right that must be supported and protected.
The celebration was held on 19 and 20 November 2025, with wide participation of children from public and international schools (English and French), as well as refugee and immigrant children of different nationalities.
The event was organized in partnership with a number of international and local institutions and organizations, namely Save the Children International, the International Organization for Migration, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and Terre des Hommes organization.
The opening ceremony included introductory videos on the International Organization for Migration and the BA Children’s and Young People’s Libraries, together with a presentation of the annual Children's Day celebrations organized by the Library since 2018. The ceremony also featured a ballet performance by Art City Academy, directed by Dr. Claire Rizkallah, and a storytelling segment presented by Mr. Haytham Shoukry, founder of Hakawaty initiative.
The celebration concluded by honoring the sponsoring organizations, participating specialists, volunteers, and workshop presenters, in recognition of their contributions to the success of this annual event, which combines education and innovation and promotes open learning spaces for every child.
