Donation by the Moroccan Friends Association

Alexandria, 14 February 2005—Ambassador Mohamed Farag El-Dokali, the Moroccan Ambassador to Cairo, headed a distinguished delegation to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) on 8 February 2005 to present a collection of the latest Moroccan publications to the library. The collection was donated by the Moroccan Association of Friends of BA. The collection comprises 467 titles in the branches of history, philosophy, law, medicine, poetry and critique.
The Moroccan Friends Association is the only Arab association of the International Friends at this time. Ambassador El Dokali spoke of the Moroccan Friends determination to work with the Library of Alexandria in many complementary areas, such as preservation of heritage and exchange of information. The delegation also toured the BA and was introduced to the activities and services provided for visitors.
