Minnesota welcomes Dr. Ismail Serageldin

Alexandria, 22 March 2005—Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, was invited by the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs to give four lectures, 23-24 March 2005.
The first day includes lectures on The Digital Future, and Agriculture and Science Technology, while the following day will witness a presentation on the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, entitled The Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Past, Present and Future. Dr. Serageldin’s principal lecture, Tides of Change: Reflections on Reform in the Arab and Muslim World, is the inaugural lecture in the new Freeman Forum series, and will be held on Thursday, 24 March.
