White Cane Bibliography for visitors

Alexandria, 16 November 2005—On the occasion of the celebration of the International White Cane Day, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Library Sector has prepared for its patrons a bibliography on the white cane articles, books and websites. The material listed in the bibliography explores subjects such as the history of the white cane that guides the blind and the visually impaired as well as how to help raise a blind. The websites listed include the National Federation of the Blind, Library of Congress, National Library for the Blind, and World Blind Union.
The BA aims at providing its patrons the ability of accessing these materials in either electronic or printed form.
