BA donates books to Dayer Maydour Organization

Alexandria, 24 November 2005— Within the scope of supporting the Egyptian cultural life and spreading the love for reading among children and the young, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina has donated more than 450 books to Dayer Maydour Organization, in-charge of the Library affiliated with the Siwa Desert project. The donation comprises mainly of children books exploring different cultural fields, such as literature, art, history and stories.
Dr. Sohair Wastawy, BA Chief Librarian, announced that the BA continuously offers support to other libraries in order to promote cultural education and encourage Egyptians, especially children, to enjoy reading and learning.
