Events

This workshop is organized by the BA Center for Coptic Studies in cooperation with the Franciscan Cultural Center (Giza). It includes theoretical and practical training on creating Coptic mosaics.

The workshop will also include lectures on the history of mosaic art; materials and technics used in creating mosaics during different historical periods, including ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Coptic, and Islamic periods; and information on the tools and materials used nowadays.

The workshop will be led by a group of mosaic artists and experts from the Ministry of Antiquities and will be held at the Franciscan Cultural Center (Giza).
