The BA Taha Hussein Library for the Visually Impaired, in cooperation with Hans Seidel Foundation, organizes the International White Cane Safety Day, on Wednesday, 6 November 2019 at 10.00 am. This celebration comes as part of the cultural and enlightening role of the BA towards various segments of society.
The White Cane Safety Day aims at advocating the rights of the visually impaired in Egypt, and sheds light on the importance of the white cane and how to use it safely on a paved road. It also encourages the government and civil society to carry out their duties and roles in this respect.
This year’s celebration includes a variety of interactive activities for blind school students and their sighted peers. These activities will take place at the BA Plaza. The celebration will also honor outstanding students across different fields.
