In the community survey, persons in the damaged areas were interviewed a day or 2 after the tornado.
The majority of those interviewed, as I mentioned earlier, had not been injured or suffered only minor injuries in the tornado.
Of the 450 persons who were in the damaged areas at the time of the tornado, the vast majority were inside houses (80%) , and only 16% were inside storm shelters.
