This lecture
originated as a graduate research paper “The Ethical Challenges of Translating the
Doctor-Patient Relationship to the Internet” written for the Summer 2000 MINF 510,
Medical Informatics at Oregon Health Sciences University. The originally version of this presentation was prepared for the Medinfo 2001 conference, “Towards Global Health - The Informatics Route to Knowledge” and can be found in the conference proceedings. A more extensive review of this topic. “Ethical Challenges of Medicine and Health on the Internet: A Review” was published in the June issue of Journal of Medical Internet Research available on the Internet.
