Knowledge and capabilities of new technology or an area of study often develop faster than the guidelines and principles needed for practitioners to practice ethically in the new arena. One area of rapid technological and economic expansion is that of the Internet, in particular how quickly the Internet is impacting and changing the practice of medicine in the 21^st century.
